Denise Dmochowski is an American Artist working out of Boston, Massachusetts and Farmingdale, New Jersey. She received her BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, at Rutgers University.
Her paintings and drawings are about the transformative healing energy that is abundant in the universe. "My paintings and drawings are about the deep connection we have to our world and to each other," Dmochowski explains. "They are symbolic of our connection to each other and to our world." Dmochowski draws and paints on hand-stitched fabrics and paper, a reference to the " idea of thread connecting the piece, representing the invisible thread that connects us all."
Her art work has been exhibited widely in the United States, including The Projects Gallery in Philadelphia and Miami, Torche’ Gallery in New Jersey, and New York, Walter Wickiser Gallery, Chelsea NY, and at the UCSF Women’s Center in San Francisco.
"My paintings and drawings are about the transformative healing energy that is abundant in the universe. Early in 2007 I embarked on a spiritual journey, which led me to discover the healing arts. I found this journey to be extremely exhilarating. As I continued on this path, something wonderful happened. I watched my work change before my eyes. it appeared that the same energies I used in healing sessions began to take shape in my paintings. Now a mystical, spiritual, otherworldly element is clearly present in my work. My focus now is about how this magical energy connects us all, how we are all made of the same stuff and about how we are connected to nature."
